A new 40 Days of Discipleship is starting July 5, 2013

In John 1:1 Jesus could be described as the Verb as well as the Word. When He comes in, He changes people who change the world. Transformation involves our lives and not just increasing information. What if we seek to experience God and not just talk about Him .
This 40 day discipleship adventure involves 3 things.
1) A daily devotional time of a minimum of 7 minutes plus a daily prayer for labourers for the harvest (Luke 10:2). You may be surprised what happens from these 2 simple activities.
2) There will be 5 short instructional sessions where discipleship is explained from concept to practice. This will be delivered live online on the following dates: Monday July 8, 15, 29, Aug 12 and 26 at 7:30 pm EST. These also will be recorded and can be viewed online.
3) Each participant is encouraged to reflect with another participant or someone in their circle about what God is saying and how they are being prompted to step out in faith. You can also share your reflection in a brief email to the other participants.
Since this is online, you can access this course from anywhere you have an occasional connection to the internet: the cottage, at home, the mission field… It also facilitates your personal involvement in encouraging others and can be a help to bridge the summer wherever you may be.
If you are interested please fill out the online application form and more information will be sent to you. We also ask you take an anonymous discipleship experience survey .
Deadline for application is July 5th, 2013. Hope you can join us,
Jim
PS
This presentation explains that thinking of discipleship as a verb can be a very powerful concept (25 min.)

The summer is more than 40 days long but we will distribute the activities over the summer to allow for the coming and going and interruptions common to this time.
