Day 25 of 40 Days of Discipleship: God-breathed

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
How do the Scriptures work in our lives? The Apostle Paul said to Timothy that “all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
God breathes the Scriptures out through the writers and we breathe them in when we read them. When that happens we get to know the path of Jesus, when we get off it, how to get back on and to enjoy the result of seeing our lives change.
There are different ways to receive the Scriptures through: hearing, reading, studying, memorizing and meditating. We need all 5 especially how to meditate on the Scriptures. Like a cow which eats grass, then chews over it very slowly, we chew over the Scriptures and think about them continually. This nourishes our soul and shows us how to think, and be and do. Our cellphone can remind us to go back to the Scriptures and we can select different times of day to receive the Scripture portions through GoTandem.
