Day 11 of 40 Days of Discipleship: Christ the Center

Hosea 6:3
Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.

Christ, by His authority and for our good, is the center of everything. He is the real spiritual DNA that helps us grow. We give Him first place which means we are not the center of attention. He is our teacher and boss. We do what he says. He calls us to be learners from the Scriptures and to change how we think and act (Divine truth). He calls us to live lives with an outward focus of caring for others (Nurturing relationships) and he sends us to bless the world with love, truth and justice (Apostolic mission). We need to be careful that the activities in our discipleship do not replace Jesus as of prime importance. We need reminding to keep focusing on Jesus and not just the training wheels practice. For the next 4 days we will look at some aspects of prayer.
